Tishomingo, OK

Pictures from our adventure in Oklahoma!

The day after Christmas we drove to Weatherford to spend the night with my parents. Then Sunday we woke up early and drove 2 and half hours to Tishomingo, OK, to Ryan's Aunt Marka and Uncle Clay's house. Every year Ryan's extended family gathers together after Christmas for our own "Chinese" Christmas gift exchange and some fun fellowship time. Ryan and I made the commitment before we were married to be intentional on fostering our relationships with extended family. This is why we drive hours to Kansas for the Scott Family reunion and hours to Tish. It's important to us for our boys to really KNOW their family, not just recognize them in pictures.

Clay and Marka's place is a dream land for the twins. They love all the animals and open land. We saw "sharks" in their pond. They helped herd some goats, saw some cows, and horses, too.

The twins loved playing with Cousin Justin - especially when we would shuffle the cards. They sat and helped with the serious game of 42 and loved to watch everyone open their gifts. All-in-all it was a great time!
