Prayerful Mondays

What are Prayerful Mondays...I need to be more purposeful in my prayers for others. I am WAY too good at praying for myself. I have decided to designate Mondays for pray requests. Each Monday I will share with you some of my prayer requests. Some are for blog friends, some best friends, and yes, some will be for myself (or my family). Please join with me in praying for each other. Oh...and if you have something specific or not so specific in mind for me to pray about, leave me a comment. Here we go... 

Prayerful Mondays - June 29, 2009

1. A high school friend, Jennifer, dad had a heart attack this past week.  Please pray for him and for Jennifer's family as they cope during this hard time.
2. All the pregnant Mommas out there still need our prayers for a smooth and healthy deliveries.  Please keep these wonderful women in your prayers.
3. Ryan has a FREE basketball camp for kids of all ages starting tomorrow.  This camp is on the East Side of Lubbock, so most of the kiddos will be from low-income, at-risk families.  Please pray for his camp as they try to reach out to this community.  Pray for the families and that God is soften their hearts so they will hear what he has for them.
4. There is a LOT of traveling going on this summer.  Pray for all those on the road that they may be safe on the road.
5. Our friends Carrie and Kyle work for NEXT Worldwide Missions. Carrie just returned from a trip to Kenya and Kyle from Romania.  Check out their blog HERE and the NEXT website for more information on their ministries and specific prayer needs.  Also, please pray for the people they left behind in Kenya and Romania.  God did some AMAZING things through NEXT.  Now, let's pray for spiritual growth.
6. Our friends Tyler and Brooke are inducing this week.  They are welcoming a sweet baby boy to their family of three.  Please pray for Brooke and baby Neal on July 1st.
